Majlis Amanah Rakyat (MARA) has pledged to cooperate with the authorities to investigate the recent revelation of sexual harassment and abuse in its schools
According to New Straits Times, MARA chairman Datuk Azizah Mohd Dun said in a statement that they will be launching an internal investigation into the allegations of abuse that occur in MARA Junior Science Colleges (MRSM) that came to light on social media.
"MARA will not compromise with any form of misconduct involving its personnel, yet alone anything that involves the safety of students at MARA educational institutions," she said.

Azizah pledged that stern action will be taken against those found to be involved
She said this is to ensure a safe and conducive educational environment, free from the harassment and exploitation of young women and children.
"MARA will provide full cooperation to the authorities to ensure the image and credibility of its institutions is always preserved," Azizah said.
The chairman was responding to calls by women's organisations, which urged both MARA and the Ministry of Education (MOE) to set up an investigation panel into allegations of abuse and sexual harassment committed by teachers and wardens on their students.
Many of the claims came from students who are currently studying or had studied in MARA boarding schools. There are 53 MRSM schools in Malaysia.

The only acknowledgement has been a Twitter reply to a social media user to lodge an official report to them.
The revelation began with personal accounts from students about having to prove they were menstruating during the month of Ramadan:
