The National COVID-19 Immunisation Programme (PICK) will now start vaccinating adolescents aged 12 to 17 years against COVID-19

PICK coordinating minister Khairy Jamaluddin tweeted the decision this morning, 13 August, confirming a purported circular by Health director-general (Health DG) Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham.

According to Khairy, PICK will start vaccinations in order of priority:
- 12 to 17-year-olds with underlying medical conditions
- 12 to 17-year-olds with no medical issues based on age de-escalation
