As floods continue to inundate northern states, residents of Kota Bharu, Kelantan, are being cautioned against treating the floodwaters as a "water park"
A TikTok video by user @sy42w417 shows several families, including children, swimming and playing in knee-deep floodwaters.
The video, captioned "Kota Bharu water park," has garnered over 850,000 views, sparking widespread concern among netizens.

Many have raised alarms regarding the health risks associated with floodwaters, particularly for children
Some cited that the contaminated water is a breeding ground for waterborne diseases such as leptospirosis, typhoid, and melioidosis, all of which are potentially fatal infections.
Meanwhile, others pointed out that floodwaters are often a mix of drain water, sewage, and waste.
One user commented, "Ya Allah, why are they treating the floodwater like a water park? It's too dirty to let your children play there."
Another added, "Drain water, sewage, and trash. I hope all their antibodies are strong."
