"On The Plane Or In Heaven" — Scoot's Plane Cabin Fills Up With Vapour Enroute To S'pore
There were 230 passengers and eight crew members onboard flight TR605.
A six-second video uploaded on TikTok has gone viral, showing a smoke-like substance completely filling the cabin of a Scoot flight
The video, posted yesterday, 8 May, has text embedded that reads, "wtf is happening to my plane". In the caption of the video, the uploader also questioned where was the smoke coming from.
"Literally [don't know] if I'm on the plane or in heaven," the uploader wrote.
The plane, which took off from Bangkok, Thailand and was bound for Singapore, was forced to return to the Thai capital after an hour of flying
There were 230 passengers and eight crew members onboard flight TR605.
According to a Scoot spokesperson, the plane turned back due to a technical fault and the smoke-like substance, which was water vapour from air-conditioning, was not related to the technical issue.
The Straits Times reported that once the plane landed back in Bangkok, the passengers were given refreshments. After the technical fault was rectified, the plane departed for Singapore the same day.
The airline apologised for the delay but did not specify what the technical fault was.
"Scoot sincerely apologises for the disruption and inconvenience caused. The safety of our customers and crew is our top priority. We will continue to provide assistance to our customers where possible," it said.
