In a post yesterday, 10 February, Facebook user Ann Salmon shared photos of Petsmore in 1 Utama Shopping Centre that were taken on 8 February.

Tagging SPCA Selangor, she wrote, "[At] approximately 1pm to 2pm. These barely two-month-old pups [were] brought in. No water in bowls. No cloth/rags on wires. No toy. With CNY holidays coming up. I can imagine these pups being neglected. Took it up with the store man. He gave many lame excuses. Please check."

In a statement to SAYS today, 10 February, Petsmore responded that it is a misunderstanding and that the puppies were left temporarily in the cages while the kennels were being cleaned

"There is no abuse or cruelty happen to the pets... We do provide sufficient food and water to the pet. Just coincidentally, it has finished when the time customers were there. Definitely, we will take good care of the pets, this is our responsibility."

The pet store also added that SPCA Selangor had already contacted them and they explained the situation.
