A mother was heartbroken after her son was temporarily paralysed as a result of allegedly being kicked by a classmate

According to Sinar Harian, the incident occurred when the woman's son, who is the class monitor, reprimanded his classmate for posting pornographic videos in a school WhatsApp group.

The student allegedly retaliated by kicking her son's head from behind, causing him to suffer from temporary paralysis.

In a Facebook post, the woman also uploaded several photos of her son lying rigidly in a hospital bed with a neck brace on.

According to the mother, her son is staying in the school's hostel and she was informed of the incident by the facility's warden

The mother said that she became distraught after hearing the news about her son's condition.

"Only God knows how I felt as a mother when my son was rushed to the hospital in an ambulance. Those who have met my son know that he doesn't like violence, confrontation, and aggression.

"Fortunately, God protected you. The doctor said that if the kick landed just a little lower, then my world would have been dark," she wrote in her Facebook post.

In a subsequent update on 11 July, the woman said her son can now move his hands and feet

However, she said that he would have to undergo a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scan to determine if he has any internal injuries as a result of the alleged kick.

The mother has since lodged a police report regarding the incident.

SAYS has reached out to the mother to clarify if the school has taken any action.
