You Can Now Take The Putrajaya MRT Line & ERL To KLIA From As Low As RM13.70

The fare from KL Sentral to the Sepang airports usually costs RM55 on the KLIA Transit.

If you stay near any of the new stations on the MRT Putrajaya Line, you can now travel from the centre of Kuala Lumpur to KLIA Terminal 1 and 2 for cheap

According to a Facebook post by KLIA Ekspres, travellers can now take the MRT from the city centre to Putrajaya Sentral station and switch over to the KLIA Transit Express Rail Link (ERL) to easily get to the airport.

The infographic shows that, for example, the journey from the Persiaran KLCC MRT station to KLIA Terminal 1 will take an estimated 52 minutes and costs only RM13.70 one way.

It also promises that the interchange between trains at the Putrajaya Sentral station will be quick

According to klia2.info, the MRT and KLIA Transit stations are within the same complex.

If you do not drive, the train service quipped, "This is your fastest and greenest way to the airport!"

It added that travellers can enjoy 10% off their KLIA Transit ride if they purchase their tickets online beforehand.

In comparison, the fare on the KLIA Transit from KL Sentral to the Sepang airports usually costs RM55 and takes 39 minutes one way. Commuting via the MRT Putrajaya Line-ERL method is about RM40 cheaper.
