New Straits Times reported that the video was uploaded by Isham Jalil, a former special officer of Najib.

The CCTV footage has garnered over 220,000 views within 12 hours at the time of writing.

The video apparently showed proceedings from day five of the former premier's trial

The footage showed Tan Sri Shafee Abdullah cross-examining Zulkarnain Mohamad, a contractor tasked with building a storeroom at Najib's house in Taman Duta.

theSun reported that when asked if he had seen crowds at Najib's house, Zulkarnain claimed he had seen orphans and Tahfiz students reciting the 'Surah Yasin' at the residence.

The contractor added that he would stop the construction work whenever Najib was at home for fear that the noise might cause disturbance.

PPBM legal bureau has since vowed to lodge a police report against Isham for uploading the video

Saiful Ambar Abdullah Ambar, a committee member of the bureau, was quoted as saying by New Straits Times that Isham's actions and comments were against the law and an apparent act of contempt of court.

"I believe the recording can only be obtained by certain parties allowed by the courts on strict conditions... It cannot be distributed, copied, or uploaded in any form or any platform," Saiful said.

"This is clearly contempt of court... He (Isham) should just let the learned defence counsels who were appointed by Najib to handle the case," he added.

Najib had previously asked for his trial to be broadcast live, but the request was shot down by the Federal Court.

The former premier is on trial for misusing RM42 million from SRC International Sdn Bhd. Here's a recap of what went down on the first day of his trial:
