While Malaysians were not allowed to return to their hometowns for Hari Raya Aidiladha again this year, at least many still had the opportunity to dress up in baju Raya and celebrate at home
Unfortunately, for many frontliners of the COVID-19 pandemic, they still had to be at work.
As seen in a viral TikTok by user @zackaffendi, some had to celebrate their Hari Raya Haji burying the deceased at a cemetery.

In the video, the frontliners in full personal protective equipment (PPE) had some time to takbir (praise Allah) while waiting for more COVID-19 bodies to arrive at the burial site
The TikTok user shared that the video was recorded at Ainsdale Cemetery in Seremban on Tuesday, 20 July.
As the somber video went viral, he added, "Thank you all for the prayers... This was our first Hari Raya Aidiladha at a graveyard."
Malaysian netizens were heartbroken to see the grim reality and sacrifices made by the frontliners
The video has garnered over 1.5 million views, with many saying it was their first time seeing the prayers recited at a cemetery too.
"This is the first time in my life seeing takbir raya recited in the cemetery. Allahu Akbar, so somber," said a TikTok user.
