Brazil Court Fines Apple RM89 Million Because Their New iPhones Come Without Chargers
Apple has been at odds with Brazilian authorities over the issue for quite a while now.
Recently, the São Paulo state court in Brazil slapped Apple with a USD19 million fine (RM89 million) for continuing to sell iPhones without chargers

According to Reuters, the lawsuit was filed by the association of borrowers, consumers, and taxpayers whom argued that the company commits abusive practices by selling its flagship product without a charger, forcing consumers to make a separate purchase for a necessary product.
And this isn't the first time the tech conglomerate has had issues with the South American country
Back in September, Brazil fined Apple a separate USD2.5 million (RM11 million) for the same issue. They also barred the company from selling iPhone 12 and 13 models without chargers, Barron's reports.
Moreover, they were also fined back in 2021 by the consumer protection agency Procon-SP, for removing the power adapter from the iPhone 12 lineup and newer production runs of older iPhones, citing it as a violation of the country's Consumer Defense Code.
In addition to the most recent fine, Brazil wants Apple to include chargers in all iPhones if they still want to sell in the country, they have also been asked to provide chargers to all Brazilians who have purchased iPhones after 13 October 2020, as reported by Brazilian news site, Estadão.
Apple made the decision to stop including chargers since 2020 with the launch of its iPhone 12 lineup in an effort to reduce carbon footprint

As of now, Apple has decided to not compile the order as the company moves forward to appeal the ruling made by the Brazilian court.
