You'll be able to edit how you pop up in other people's phones when you call them, provided they use an iPhone. You can also customise your home screen with an array of pictures, text, and visuals.

2. A new way to journal your experiences

iOS 17 also comes with a new journal app that uses machine learning to create personalised suggestions of moments for you to remember based on your photos, music, workouts, and more.

Functional and aesthetically-pleasing!

3. Let the important people in your life know you've arrived safely when you're travelling

Check In is a safety feature that notifies your family and friends when you arrive at a destination.

It will send the notice through iMessage, and if you don't respond, it will share other helpful information about your device such as the location, battery level, and cell service.

4. A new catch up arrow that jumps you to where you left off in iMessage

This convenient feature lets you jump to where you left off if your group message has been busy. Then, you'll only need to swipe right next to a message to reply to it.

5. Create stickers on iMessage

A new feature will be added to your iPhone's emoji keyboard called the sticker tab. Essentially, you will be able to store stickers in it to send to other people.

You can even edit your own pictures to use as stickers. Use an app called Markup to add stickers to photos, documents, screenshots, and more.
