Google plans to introduce a subscription model for its Bard Advanced AI chatbot

In its Q4 earnings call, Google revealed that the advanced version — dubbed Bard Advanced — will be powered by the upcoming Gemini Ultra language model which promises more complex and improved responses.

The subscription price may be similar to that of OpenAI’s ChatGPT Plus

While there are no details on how much it will cost, it’s speculated that it will align with OpenAI’s premium tier.

The current Bard version remains free for users, while the upcoming premium version is slated for an "early 2024" release.
