The Xiaomi SU7 sedan offers two powertrain options: a rear-wheel-drive (RWD) version equipped with a 220kW motor, and an all-wheel-drive (AWD) variant boasting a maximum power of 495kW (220kW + 275kW). That's approximately 663bhp, almost the same amount of brake horsepower produced by a previous-generation F1 car.
The less expensive variant features an LFP battery pack sourced from EV manufacturer BYD, while the pricier option comes with a ternary NMC battery from CATL.
The lower trim vehicle has a curb weight of 1,980kg, with a top speed capped at 210km/h. In contrast, the higher-end model weighs 2,205kg and can reach a top speed of 265km/h.

For starters, Xiaomi revealed two versions of the car: one comes with a LIDAR sensor, and the other does not. The LIDAR sensors in cars are commonly used to facilitate automated driving. Think of them as the eyes of the car.
There is also a camera spotted on the B pillar, which implies that the SU7 will come with a face recognition unlocking function.
According to MIIT filling, there will be three variants: SU7, SU7 Pro, and SU7 Max. Some trims will feature an active rear wing.

The in-car system of the SU7 will be powered by Xiaomi's proprietary operating system, HyperOS.
This in-house-developed operating system is versatile, and is designed to operate seamlessly across both Xiaomi smartphones and automobiles.
HyperOS features secure updates, advanced voice control, predictive maintenance, ecosystem integration, performance optimisation, and more.
The first batch of Xiaomi SU7 vehicles is expected to be delivered in February 2024
