The film features a cast that includes Mimi Lana, Jun Lojong, Fad Anuar, Namron, Nadiya Nisaa, Amir Nafis, and more

At the centre of the story is Fatima, an ambitious journalist who unintentionally uncovers a dark past linked to a series of black magic practices and a powerful curse that spans generations.

Her investigation leads her to the mysterious figure Maria Hadi, a female shaman whose past may be the key to something far more dangerous being unleashed.

Beyond its story, Polong has been praised for combining traditional Malaysian horror elements with psychological storytelling and strong technical execution.

Viewers have highlighted its cinematic visuals, unsettling sound design, and atmosphere that builds tension throughout rather than relying only on jump scares.

Directed by Zulkarnain Azhar, Polong is produced by Golden Star Pictures Sdn Bhd (GSPSB), with distribution by 10 Star Cinemas Sdn Bhd and marketing collaboration from Primeworks Studios and Astro Shaw.

Polong is currently showing in cinemas nationwide.
