Fans of Yoona made sure that Yoona's birthday will be remembered, seen and beneficial by raising funds to have a forest named after her.


In Celebration Of Her Birthday On 30 May, Yoona Fans Raised Over RM31,000 Over The Course Of One Month To Have A Forest Named After Her

This special project was made possible through YoonA’s Fanclub Union, in which her fans from all throughout 18 countries, including Korea, China, America, Denmark, and more, gathered enough funds to create the forest. The fans began fundraising in March, and in just one month, they were able to raise more than 10 million KRW (~$9,800 USD).

Tree Planet revealed that they collaborated with YoonA’s fans for the ‘Star Forest Project,’ in order to plant a ‘YoonA Forest’ in Seoul in honor of her special day.


Her fans raised a total of $9,800 USD tomake a man-made forest that will be named after her. "Yoona Forest" will be located in Sangam-dong neighbourhood of Mapo-gu, Seoul.


Fans Stated, "We Wanted To Prepare A Meaningful Gift For Yoona, We Hope That The 'Yoona Forest' Will Be Enjoyed By Yoona And Girls' Generation's Fans As Well As A Lot Of People Who Can Comfortably Rest There"

Yoona fans stated, "The broadcast station is located across from the forest, so it would be nice for international fans to go there."
