What It Was Like Watching Clean Bandit Perform In KL For The First Time
Is there really any other place you'd rather be?
Clean Bandit came to KL for the first time on 18 May and rocked the KL Live stage with hit songs like 'Rockabye'
The Grammy award-winning group, Clean Bandit played their hit tracks 'Symphony', 'Rockabye' and 'Rather Be' and 14 other songs on 18 May for Urbanscapes 2017.
The Clean Bandit trio is joined by Stephanie Benedetti, Kirsten Joy and Yazzie Fierce for the tour.
In case you didn't know, 'Rockabye' is the song that goes "Rockabye, baby, Rockabyeee"
Clean Bandit is originally comprised of Grace Chatto, Neil Amin-Smith and Patterson brothers, Luke and Jack. The four formed the group in Cambridge in 2008.
The 'Rockabye' track was Clean Bandit's first released single since violinist Neil left the group. The track is their second chart topper to have landed in Top 40 position in the Top 100 Chart.
A few seconds in and the crowd goes wild...
The audience pitched in for the "Rockabye, baby, rockabye" sing-along with their favourite artist.
Then in comes the intense violin solo sequence (cue major goosebumps)
Lying between the classical crossover genre which fuses classical and popular elements of music, Clean Bandit utilises all kinds of classical instruments. In a way, bringing something unique to the table and creating an interesting marriage between different sounds.
To everyone’s delight, Clean Bandit also dropped an exclusive track called “Should’ve Known Better”, that’s yet to be released
'The song is predicted to be included in their upcoming album, set to be released later this year.
Last year they told Digital Spy, "Our album should be out early next year hopefully. There will be lots of exciting collaborations, and cool beats. Violins, cellos and drums!"
The show ends on a high note after a satisfying encore, but we knew fans were already eager to re-live the concert one more time
There's no doubt in Clean Bandit's ability to keep the crowd going. Let's just hope fans here in Malaysia will be able to catch them for a second time.
