1. The Batman

Somewhat of an introduction to the Cape Crusader's escapades, Matt Reeves' The Batman (2022) sees the superhero stalk the streets of Gotham for two years, striking fear into the hearts of criminals everywhere.

Venturing deeper into the city's underworld of a sadistic killer, who leaves behind a trail of cryptic clues, the evidence seems to lead him closer to busting the culprit. But with only a few trusted allies amongst a city of corrupt high-profile figures, the lone vigilante takes one of his first steps to establish himself as the sole embodiment of vengeance for the citizens of Gotham.

2. The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It

Following the adventures of real-life paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren, The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It (2021) sees the husband-and-wife duo take on another sensational case that rocked the headlines in Connecticut of 1981.

After a cop stumbles upon a dazed and bloodied young man on the side of the road, the man is accused of murder and claims demonic possession as his defence. Forcing the Warrens into a supernatural realm unlike anything we've seen before, this movie records the first time in US history that a murder suspect used a supernatural possession as his main legal defence.

3. Dune

A gifted young man born into a great destiny he has yet to uncover, Dune (2021) follows Paul Atreides on his travels to the most dangerous planet in the universe to protect his family, and his people at large.

When sinister forces explode into disarray, costing the planet its most precious supply of resources for survival, it is revealed that those who can conquer their own fear will be the ones to make it out alive. Will this include Paul and his allies?

4. Wonder Woman 1984

A sequel of epic proportions, Wonder Woman 1984 (2020) sees Diana Prince learning to cope in the 1980s among mortals that live exuberant and vibrant lives. While she has fully accepted and come to terms with her powers, mastering everything she thought she knew about herself, a new villain by the name of Maxwell Lord, and a supervillain that goes by the Cheetah, will test everything Diana knew to be certain.

Mustering all the strength she has, did Wonder Woman manage to take down a villainess who possesses a power and agility akin to hers?

5. A Quiet Place Part II

After the deadly events of the first feature, A Quiet Place II (2020) sees the Abbott family facing a whole new world of terrors as they continue to fight for their survival in silence.

Forced to venture into the unknown, they quickly learn that the creatures that hunt by sound are not the only threats they will face beyond the sand path.

6. The Matrix Resurrections

"If real is what you can feel, smell, taste, and see, then real is simply electrical signals interpreted by your brain." After a remarkable sequence of adventures, Mr Anderson (aka Neo), is back to find out if reality truly is real and physical, or if it's a mental construct in The Matrix: Resurrections (2021).

Learning from all his experiences thus far, it would be that choice, no matter an illusion, is still a way out. Believing in his strength to take him further, what Neo may not expect is that the Matrix is stronger, more secure, and far more dangerous that ever before.

7. King Richard

Based on the real-life aspirations of Richard Williams, King Richard (2021) tells the tale of a hardworking father determined to write his two daughters into history. Armed with a 78-page plan, the father of Venus and Serena Williams is depicted on his journey as an instrumental factor to their clear success.

Driven by an unwavering vision, watch as Richard uses unconventional methods to take the life of his family from the streets of Compton to sunny California, and inevitably, the global stage.

8. Mortal Kombat

Long-time fans of the famed video game will probably recognise this movie as the embodiment of their wildest fantasies come to life. Hunted by the fearsome warrior, Sub-Zero, MMA fighter Cole Young finds sanctuary at the temple of Lord Raiden. After taking refuge, he proceeds to meet a plethora of heroes (and villains) we know far too well within the realm of Mortal Kombat (2021).

Training with Liu Kang, Kung Lao, and Kano, Cole prepares to take up a challenge with some of the Earth's greatest champions, and try to conquer enemies from the Outworld.

9. The Boss Baby: Family Business

Transporting us years into the future, Tim and Ted Templeton are now adults with polar opposite lives. Tim is a stay-at-home dad with his two daughters, while Ted is a big-shot CEO living the high life.

Estranged over the years, they come together in an unexpected way after taking a formula that allows them to become babies for 48 hours. Going undercover to prevent an evil genius from turning fellow toddlers into horrible brats, let's see if their plans go the way they hope it will in The Boss Baby: Family Business (2021).

10. Every Fantastic Beasts movie

Beginning in 1927, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them (2016) follows Newt Scamander and Albus Dumbledore as they attempt to take down the dark wizard, Gellert Grindelwald, all while facing a divided wizarding world.

With plans of raising pure-blood wizards to rule over the non-magical world, Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald (2018) sees Albus rally up a troop of his former students to help take Gellert down.

Lines are drawn, love is tested, and a divide in the wizarding world culminates into nothing we've ever seen before in Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore (2022), as Newt and Albus try to save the future of magic.
