PM Najib is on a work visit to San Francisco to attend the 3rd Global Science and Innovation Advisory Council
Najib is on a working visit to San Francisco to attend the 3rd Global Science and Innovation Advisory Council (GSIAC) meeting from Sept 22 to 24.

The GSIAC was initiated by the prime minister in 2010 as part of his ongoing efforts to transform Malaysia into a high-income economy through enhancing Malaysia's capabilities in science and innovation.

The prime minister will also attend the 7th BIO-International Advisory Panel meeting and visit Silicon Valley, which includes a tour of the headquarters of Twitter and Google.

The Prime Minister will leave for New York on Sept 24 to lead Malaysia's delegation to the 68th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York from Sept 25 to 29.
