If the high price tag on Netflix's plans are a concern, fret no more because the streaming giant's new mobile plan is super affordable

The new mobile plan was launched earlier today by Netflix director of product innovation Ajay Arora.

"Our members in Malaysia love to watch shows on their smartphones and tablets. With the first-ever Mobile plan in Southeast Asia, all of Netflix's shows and movies will be even more accessible for Malaysians to stream and download," Ajay said.

At only RM17 per month, users will have access to the same local and international catalogue readily available to users of the other tiers

Here are the other things to know about the plan:
- Does not offer HD or Ultra HD viewing,
- Can only be watched on mobile phones, and
- Can only be watched on one screen at a time.

Users can switch to the mobile plan here.

Netflix first launched its mobile plan in India back in July, to much success

Android Police reported that Netflix chief product officer Gregory Peters said the mobile-only plan performed better than the company expected, and that it would look into expanding the tier to other countries.

Malaysia is the first country in Southeast Asia - and the second in the world - to enjoy the new mobile plan.

You should definitely add these Malaysia-based movies to your Netflix watchlist:
