Singaporean comedy legend Gurmit Singh, famous for his role as Phua Chu Kang, is making a much-anticipated return to Kuala Lumpur this October with his musical comedy show, The Greatest Showman

The two-night event will be held at 8pm on 24 and 25 October at the HGH Convention Centre in KL.

Get ready for an evening packed with laughter as Gurmit brings Phua Chu Kang's signature humour and wit to the stage, accompanied by lively musical performances.

Gurmit first rose to fame in 1997 with the hit Singaporean sitcom Phua Chu Kang Pte Ltd, where he portrayed the titular eccentric general contractor, instantly recognisable by his yellow boots, curly afro, and prominent facial mole

The show was a satire on Singaporean society, cleverly poking fun at local culture, bureaucracy, and everyday life. Despite his exaggerated persona and frequent comical misunderstandings, Phua Chu Kang was a character with a big heart, always looking out for his family and friends.

Since then, Gurmit has continued to captivate Malaysian audiences with his stand-up comedy performances as Phua Chu Kang and his other character, Hero Singh.
