Here Are The Links To All 22 TVB Dramas You Can Now Watch Legally & For Free On YouTube
Episodes of the classic TVB dramas were recently uploaded by TVB's official YouTube channel.
This brings back memories of rushing to the TV on weeknights!
While we used to patiently wait for a new episode to unfold in the good ol' days, some of the classic Hong Kong TV dramas we grew up watching can now be streamed for free - and legally - on TVB's official YouTube channel.
In the past three months, the HK-based broadcasting company has been uploading episodes of popular dramas from the '90s and early '00s onto YouTube.
1. Square Pegs (戆夫成龙)
Starring: Roger Kwok, Jessica Hsuan, Raymond Cho, Leila Tong, Winnie Yeung
Synopsis: Square Pegs was a runaway success upon its premiere in 2003, breaking TVB's ten-year ratings record with a viewership of 3.5 million. The series follows the Cinderella-esque Choi Fung (Jessica Hsuan) who ended up the simple-minded Ah Wong's (Roger Kwok) "lou por jai" (little wife).

2. The Greed of Man (大时代)
Starring: Adam Cheng, Sean Lau, Yammie Lam, Vivian Chow, Amy Kwok, Bowie Lam, Loletta Lee, David Siu, Damian Lau, Michael Tao, Kenneth Tsang
Synopsis: Spanning three decades from the 1970s to the 1990s in Hong Kong and Taiwan, the drama addresses various social and financial phenomena of the times, from triad violence to corruption in the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.

3. A Step into the Past (寻秦记)
Starring: Louis Koo, Kwong Wa, Jessica Hsuan, Sonija Kwok, Raymond Lam, Joyce Tang, Michelle Saram.
Synopsis: A secret time-travelling experiment traps 21st century VIPPU officer Hong Siu Lung (Louis Koo) in the Zhao State of the Warring States period in 250 BC. Despite knowing he cannot do anything that might change the course of history, he finds himself getting involved in a number of important historical events that leads to the first unification of China under the Qin dynasty.

4. Can't Buy Me Love (公主嫁到)
Starring: Charmaine Sheh, Moses Chan, Linda Chung, Kenneth Ma, Raymond Wong Ho-yin, Fala Chen, Sharon Chen.
Synopsis: The rom-com follows the misadventures of Princess Chiu Yeung (Charmaine Sheh), who agrees to an arranged marriage to Kam Tuo Luk (Moses Chan), the second son of the largest - but troubled - gold manufacturer in the capital.

5. Gods of Honour (封神榜)
Starring: Benny Chan, Chin Kar-lok, Irene Wan, Michelle Ye, Yuen Wah, Kingdom Yuen, Winnie Yeung
Synopsis: A romanticised retelling of the overthrow of King Zhou, the tyrannical ruler of the Shang dynasty, Gods of Honour begins with Na Zha's story - before and after he was born, how he was abandoned by his parents because of a prophecy that he will one day kill the king, and how he became a valiant warrior in the battle between good and evil.

6. Happy Ever After (金玉满堂)
Starring: Bobby Au-yeung, Mariane Chan, Kwong Wa, Nadia Chan, Roger Kwok
Synopsis: Set during the reign of Qianlong Emperor of the Qing dynasty, the drama tells the story of poor chef Tai Tung-gun (Bobby Au-yeung) and his best friend Suen Min-leung (Roger Kwok) who earned the opportunity to serve the emperor, also befriending the emperor along the way.

7. A Pillow Case of Mystery (施公奇案)
Starring: Bobby Au-yeung, Kenix Kwok, Benny Chan, Tavia Yeung, Annie Man, Lo Hoi-pang
Synopsis: After a series of unsolved cases, new magistrate Sze Sai-lun (Bobby Au-yeung) is not inspiring much confidence among the townspeople of Kong-do County. That is, until, he accidentally dripped blood on a mysterious pillow and awakened a spirit who helps him solve mysteries. The series also had a sequel, which has yet to be uploaded on the channel.

8. Witness to a Prosecution (洗冤录)
Starring: Bobby Au-yeung, Jessica Hsuan, Mariane Chan, Frankie Lam, Michael Tse, May Kwong, Anderson Junior
Synopsis: Bobby Au-yeung plays the famous historical forensic medical expert Song Ci, with the series focusing on his modest beginnings and the events leading to the creation of his book Collected Cases of Injustice Rectified, the world's earliest documentation of forensic science. The series also has a sequel, which has yet to be uploaded onto the channel.

9. Forensic Heroes (法證先鋒)
Starring: Bobby Au-yeung, Frankie Lam, Yoyo Mung, Linda Chung, Raymond Cho, Florence Kwok
Synopsis: Ko Yin Pok (Bobby Au-Yeung) is a veteran police detective who in charge of murder investigations, working under his boss, Leung Siu Yau (Yoyo Mung). Lam Ding Ding (Linda Chung) is the skilled investigator who looks for the clues that help solve cases, and Dr. Koo Chak Sam (Frankie Lam) is the medical examiner whose sharp eyes don’t miss a thing. Sam also writes crime novels on the side, but when a case comes up where the murder victims have been killed in exactly the same way as one of Sam’s novels, will this prove to be the police’s toughest case yet?

12. War of the Genders (男亲女爱)
Starring: Carol Cheng, Dayo Wong, Marsha Yuan, Patrick Tang, Kingdom Yuen, Bowie Wu
Synopsis: The series revolved around solicitor Frances Mo (Carol Cheng) and her paralegal advisor Yu Lok-tin (Dayo Wong). The two characters go from loathing to loving each other by the end of the series, and eventually become a couple.

13. Love Is Beautiful (无头东宫)
Starring: Mariane Chan, Anne Heung, Eddie Cheung, Marco Ngai, Charmaine Sheh
Synopsis: Ling Wan (Anne Heung) and Chor Chor (Mariane Chan), two friends who grew up together are often mocked for their physical ugliness. Ling Wan, despite her outer appearance, is a caring, filial, and honest person, while Chor Chor is a despicable, selfish person who deceives and steals. The latter gets a glimpse at how differently everyone treated her when a face changer, temporarily puts a beautiful face mask on her. She becomes very envious when she realises that Ling Wan is not really ugly, but has been drawing in her ugly marks on her face all along.

14. Revelation of the Last Hero (风之刀)
Starring: Aaron Kwok, Noel Leung, Ada Choi, Fennie Yuen, Frankie Lam, Bryan Leung
Synopsis: Aaron Kwok plays Lok Fung, an orphan who works in a paper printing shop and desires to learn kung fu at Yin Duk San Jong. His big break comes when he becomes a student there and is taught by kung fu master Sima Chung-wang.

15. The Legendary Ranger (原振侠)
Starring: Leon Lai, Michelle Reis, Catherine Hung, Faye Wong, Athena Chu
Synopsis: Yuan Zhen-xia (Leon Lai) is a top class surgeon, amateur detective, and martial artist with an insatiable curiosity and the moral code of the traditional youxia. His curiosity draws him into investigating a slew of seemingly unrelated kidnappings and other bizarre crimes. However, as Yuan investigates deeper he discovers all the crimes are in fact linked and are part of a plot by a doomsday cult.

18. Seven Sisters (七姊妹)
Starring: Gallen Lo, Charmaine Sheh, Kwong Wa, Anne Heung, Shirley Cheung, Annie Man, Eddie Cheung, Florence Kwok, Kingdom Yuen, Lo Hoi Pang
Synopsis: Inspired by the Hong Kong folk legend about seven sworn sisters who dived to their death together in order to rebel against an arranged marriage, the drama tells a haunting tale of romance and heartbreak set in 1930s and 1940s Hong Kong.

19. Time Before Time (大闹广昌隆)
Starring: Kathy Chow, Gordan Lam, Florence Kwok, Kenneth Chan
Synopsis: Set in 1940s Hong Kong, Hui Dai Kwong (Gordon Lam Ka Tung) works in the rumoured-to-be-haunted warehouse store as a coolie. One day, he inadvertently sets free the beautiful ghost Siu Fu Yung (Kathy Chow) from an old umbrella, in which she's been waiting for her long-lost husband, Luk Wan Kwong, for 20 years.

20. The Four (少年四大名捕)
Starring: Raymond Lam, Ron Ng, Kenneth Ma, Sammul Chan, Kate Tsui, Selena Li, Dominic Lam
Synopsis: The novel tells the story of four young constables: Heartless (Raymond Lam), Iron Fist (Kenneth Ma), Chaser (Sammul Chan), and Cold Blood (Ron Ng), who work together to solve cases and attempt to bring down the corrupt Prime Minister of the Song Dynasty.

21. Devil's Disciples (强剑)

Synopsis: The Sacred Sword Sect, the most prestigious kung fu cult in the martial arts world, are recruiting students into a course on the long-lost "Big Dipper Array". The fresh-faced Shing Fung (Bosco Wong) and the aloof-looking King Lui (Kevin Cheng) are both admitted to the Sect. In the meantime, the vicious Bloody Shadow Sect, which was once destroyed, comes to life again.

22. Looking Back in Anger (义不容情)
Starring: Felix Wong, Deric Wan, Carina Lau, Kathy Chow, Maggie Shiu, Elliot Ngok, Yammie Lam
Synopsis: Set in the 1980's, the story of Looking Back in Anger revolves around two brothers - older brother Alex (Felix Wong) and younger brother Ben (Deric Wan), who was born in prison. Over the years, Alex watches his brother slowly succumb to greed and power, killing and manipulating his way to the top. Fun fact - parts of the series were filmed in Malaysia, such as at the Kuala Lumpur railway station, Genting Highlands, and Christchurch in Melaka.
