People Are Signing Up For Some Truly Random FB Events Happening In Malaysia

Have you ever wanted to gather with a group of strangers in front of a public monument and scream like Goku?
These people in Washington Square did!
Hundreds showed up after they had RSVP-ed on a Facebook event that said, "Screaming like Goku from Dragon Ball Z in front of Washington Square."
The above event happened on 3 September in the US, following which similar events were organised in cities across the globe. One was organised in Singapore on 9 September for Suntec Convention Centre, outside CharaExpo2017.
According to the event's Facebook page, almost 500 people showed up!
The next "scream like Goku" event is planned for Kiara Park in KL. It is scheduled to take place on 16 September.
More than 3k Malaysians have shown interest in it, with over 800 saying they are going. So if you're looking forward to blowing your lungs out, you can sign up here.
And if simply screaming like Goku is too low-key for you, there's a "Naruto Run while screaming like Goku around Sunway University Foyer", taking place on 11 September
If you're thinking is that it, you're wrong.
There are a whole bunch of such niche events being organised via Facebook, where like-minded Internet people can meet outside the virtual world and be weird together out in the real world. Below we give you the whole list.
1. Happening on 10 September at 2pm, a event where you can "Punch Air Like Saitama @ The Spring Shopping Mall"
2. On 11 September, RSVP to "Scream Spongebob Theme Song at Sunway College Boulevard" between 1.30-1.40pm
3. You can "Splash Like Magikarp" at Tunku Abdul Rahman University College in KL" on 11 September. Ready? Splash!
4. There's "Die like you've been killed by Death Note" happening at Sunway Uni Foyer on 15 September
And oh, they would love to have someone to "take a video for us while we die."
5. And if you're tired, you can relax on 16 September by RSVP-ing to "Do Nothing For 5 Minutes at KLCC Park"
You can even bring your pets but make sure they have to do nothing as well.
6. Then on 18 September you can RSVP to this sliggggghtly weird event to "Cry For 15 Minutes" at The One Academy
The organisers are kind, so they said that "lecturers are welcomed too."
