One man's passion to have some General Tso's chicken was so great that he broke in to his friend's house to have some. He did all this whilst wearing a Teletubby suit.
Terez S. Owens Jr., 20, a Lehigh University student from Jacksonville, Florida, allegedly wore the children's character costume while breaking into a friend's house about 2 a.m. Sunday in the 200 block of East Fourth Street on South Side.

Police said just before 2 a.m., they were called by several students living at the home. They told police that someone had broken the glass on their rear door and entered the home. The victims told police the man took Chinese food from the refrigerator and put it into a black purse he was carrying. Police said the man had cut his hand on the broken glass and blood had dripped throughout the home.

The residence, a rental unit, endured $495 worth of damage, police say. While no charges were filed initially, DiLuzio says the home's occupants apparently changed their minds after the landlord became involved. The 20-year-old suspect will receive a summons from the office of Judge Nancy Matos.

The residents met Wednesday with a detective, and police filed charges of criminal mischief and disorderly conduct with District Judge Nancy Matos-Gonzalez's office, DiLuzio said. They will be sent to Owens via summons.
