AI Artist Creates Captivating Images Of What KL Would Look Like If We Experienced Winter
Walking in a winter wonderland.
Have you ever wondered what Malaysia would look like if we experienced more than just a tropical climate?
One artificial intelligence (AI) artist answered that question!
Creating beautiful visuals, Malaysian photographer and AI artist Grey Chow, used his skills to reimagine what Kuala Lumpur would look like if we experienced winter.
Coated in white fluff, the images show streets covered by snow, people donning oversized coats, and cool, cloud-filled skies.
Here are some of the images Chow created:
Speaking to SAYS, Chow stated that his idea for these images came when he was exploring how AI could be used to create something unusual
"Ever since I got into AI art, I have been experimenting with different crazy ideas, and showcasing our iconic PETRONAS Twin Towers during the winter is one of them.
"As a Malaysian, I was always curious about how great and fun it would be if we experienced the four-season climate here too. Also, as a photographer, I think such scenes would be pretty mesmerising, seeing all of Kuala Lumpur covered by white snow," said Chow to SAYS.
Explaining his process, Chow stated that he used Midjourney, a generative AI program, to create these images.
"I wrote a few prompts to describe the scene, and Midjourney used my description to generate the images. There is some work involved to ensure that the AI tool understands and executes the prompt correctly, but it's definitely easier than what people may think," he added.
