Real name "Ernesto Lynch", Che Guevara was born in June 14, 1928 in Rosario Argentina.
Besides an icon in pop-culture, Che Guevara is a symbol of rebellion, hope and freedom.
Che Guevara was an Argentine Marxist revolutionary, physician, author, guerrilla leader, diplomat, and military theorist.
1954: As a young medical student, Che's traveled throughout South America on his motorcycle and was defined by the poverty, hunger, and disease he witnessed.
1956 - 1959: Che fought in the Cuban revolution, winning a guerilla warfare against the corrupt dictatorship of a Cuban dictator.
1959-1961: Che became president of the Cuban national bank and helped to shift the country's trade relations from the US to the Soviet Union.
1964: Che spoke at the United Nations as head of the Cuban delegation, criticizing UN for apartheid in South Africa and US for their racism towards the black population.
1965: Che went to Congo to try and spark a revolution against the pro-Western regime but his mission failed.
1966: Che tried to incite the people of Bolivia to rebel against their government, but had little success.
1967: Che was executed by US CIA and members of the Bolivian army in 1967. His hands were amputated preserved in formaldehyde for fingerprint identification.
