IKEA seems to love taking a dig at Apple. From a hilariously serious video on IKEA's catalogue, BookBook last year to the good old IKEA pencil now

Admit it, we Malaysians love everything free. With that said, IKEA's generosity with their pencils must be applauded. Those little, wooden pencils are everywhere and they really don't mind you taking one, or two home.

If you find yourself wondering if it alright to just 'take' the pencils from IKEA, fret not because this is what an IKEA rep said: "We do not care about the pencils. "We just put out new pencils if they run out. There are no statistics on the usage of the pencils by country. One thing clear is that we will not restrict the use of the pencils."

4. The risk of 'damaging' a wooden pencil is extremely low

The only thing that might possibly go wrong with the Ikea pencil would probably be the end of its shelf life. Replacing it is oh so easy, just pop over to the nearest Ikea store and voila!

After a little experiment, we discovered that the IKEA pencil, like most lead pencils is waterproof! This way, you will never have to forget all those brilliant ideas that miraculously spark when you are in the shower. Grab that wooden pencil and write away!

6. Suitable for ALL ages

With parents becoming more tech-savvy by the day, a brand new stylus can easily fall into the hands of children and die a tragic death. On the contrary, with IKEA's pencil, you will never have to worry about the little humans playing with it and breaking it.

Last year, IKEA launched a witty video on their catalogue, renaming it as BookBook. Here are 7 reasons why IKEA's tangible catalogue triumphs a tablet:
