Olympic Cameraman Goes Rogue & Films Cockroach In The Middle Of Ongoing Hockey Match

The Tokyo 2020 Olympics has already produced many viral moments for viewers to watch and share.

Recently, a cameraman decided to go rogue and film a cockroach in the middle of an ongoing women's hockey match.

A video uploaded by Twitter user @s6ntispam garnered over 4.9 million views and 64,900 retweets.

The clip was from a live broadcast by an Argentinian TV channel covering the women's hockey match between Spain and Argentina which took place on Monday, 26 July.

While replaying the highlights of the hockey game, the clip suddenly switched to a video of a cockroach warking along a part of the field

The sports commentator was talking about the match when he stopped and said, "Look at what we have here. A cockroach."

The little insect was filmed walking for a few seconds before turning to the camera the moment the commentator addressed it.

Netizens were amused by the video and didn't mind that the cockroach took attention away from the game

One person joked, "He's practising for the balance beam event."

Another person said, "This is a cinematic genius. The way he announces la cucaracha (the cockroach) and the cucaracha in question turns around and presents itself. It's beautiful."

Malaysian TikTok personality @CeddyOrNot joked, "I don't usually say this but I'm very proud of my ex for its appearance on Olympics!!!! What a flex!!"
