Bride-to-be Carlee Leifkes and her fiancé Lucas Unger got engaged on this Halloween in California.
Although, that's not the actual news here. You see, Carlee is rocking an engagement ring that's unlike any traditional engagement ring.
How? It's made from her fiancé's wisdom tooth and she is loving it.
When Carlee got a proposal from her boyfriend Lucas, she was extremely pleased to find out that the ring he gave her was not the same old clichéd diamond (borrring) and was, in fact, a princess-cut wisdom tooth (a girl's new true best friend) enclosed.
On Monday, she posted a photo of the ring on Facebook and wrote:
So incredibly excited to marry my best friend, the man who knows that his wisdom tooth means more to me than a diamond. Can’t wait to be a weirdo with you and dance our way through life to Thee Oh Sees and Black Sabbath. We have never been the “traditional couple”, why the heck start now?
So now you can forget three months salary, if you really love your future bride, you shall give her a piece of your body...
Besides, it's also the best way to make sure your announcement stands out among all the engagement ring photos that infect Facebook and Instagram these days.
Referring to diamonds as "overrated," Carlee told BuzzFeed, "It's almost a contest of who has the biggest ring and whose fiancé loves them the most, and here I am with the coolest ring I've ever seen in my life!"
On the fiancé-loves-me scale, she's certainly up in that high range
“My birthstone is a diamond,” she notes. “I don’t need one to prove how much someone loves me. He’d already moved all the way from Canada to do that!”
