Remember Apple's new AirPods? The wireless headphones were unveiled alongside the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus back in September.

Apple "courageously" removed the headphone jack on the new phones and replaced it with fancy new wireless headphones.

Netizens have made a mockery out of Apple's reason for removing the headphone jack and replacing with the AirPods.

Apple's courageous feat doesn't stop there.

Yesterday, 31 October, the Cupertino tech company finally unveiled the price of the AirPods in Malaysia - it will retail at a whopping price of RM849.

The headphones are currently not available for purchase.

Look, RM849 is a LOT of money and we're not sure about spending that much on some "futuristic" looking headphones, because that amount of money can buy you these things:

1. A spanking new smartphone

You even have some spare change to buy yourself a sleek, sexy leather case.

2. Go for a vacation

RM849 enough to travel meh? Of course, haven't you heard of this Malaysian who hitchhiked from Sweden to Malaysia with RM800?

3. Pay down payment for a motorcycle

Pizza is life.

9. Even better, you can buy 120 bowls of Sarawak laksa

This famous Sarawak laksa in Bangsar only cost RM7 per bowl.

We're not asking you to create some national record and throw them away, mind you. Organise a laksa party or something.

10. Stock up on cooking oil because who knows when the prices will go up again

11. Buy 21 plain black t-shirts because why not

Why black? There's no why, black is the best (personal opinion of the writer, feel free to dispute).

12. Get yourself a washing machine

Stop handwashing your clothes so you can protect your delicate skin.

13. Depending on where you live, you can pay up to two months of rent

For example, this room in Bukit Jalil only costs RM450 a month.

14. Get 160 pairs of headphones from Daiso

For only RM5.30 a pop, it's a bargain. They might not sound that good but you don't have to worry about losing em' right?

15. But most importantly, you can buy not one, but TWO good quality headphones

You can jog with these without worrying about them dropping out from your sweaty ears.

Sorry, Apple. We're passing on the AirPods.

We might consider buying em' if they were RM84.90. Maybe not, still expensive.
