2 Friends Live Their Dreams By Travelling Across 24 European Countries In 33 Days
The pair embarked on their journey on 7 October and came home on 8 November 2022.
Two best friends from Selangor had the time of their lives traveling across 24 European countries in just over a month with meticulous planning and discipline
To fulfil their ultimate goal of traveling abroad, they have been saving up for years.
Speaking to Wau Post, 27-year-old Hirza Hasniza and Fasya Rafiqa embarked on their journey from Kuala Lumpur to Dubai on 7 October 2022 before making their way to Switzerland, where their big European adventure began.
They successfully completed the traveling tour on 8 November 2022, Free Malaysia Today reported.
Hirza said they took five months to plan the itinerary for their Europe trip and admitted that it was gruelling, which might not be suitable for those who want to travel at a relaxed pace.
"This is because we only visited the top three tourist destinations in each country before moving on to the next," Hirza explained.
Hirza also shared that they spent around RM15,000 each throughout their journey on transportation and lodgings
With the careful planning, they did not miss any icons and landmarks such as the London Eye, the Colosseum, and
the Louvre.
They even went on a tour to the Golden Circle in Iceland, where they managed to catch the breathtaking auroras, also completely known as polar lights.
"We stayed longer than two days in popular European countries with lots of tourist attractions like France, Italy, and Switzerland, meanwhile we spent just one day in less popular countries like Malta," Hirza said.
They also explored some of the region's most beautiful cities, including Paris, London, Belgium, Hamburg, Copenhagen, Stockholm, Tallin, Warsaw, and others.
The one-month trip, however, didn't go smoothly as they wanted, as they faced some unfortunate events while travelling
Hirza said they missed one of their flights and had one of their AirBnB hosts cancel on them at the very last minute.
Not just that, according to Free Malaysia Today, Fasya also expressed her frustration when her iPhone was stolen when they were about to board a train in Milan.
Even though she successfully tracked down her missing phone, she still ended up buying a new one.
However, despite the hardship they went through, the duo said they managed to create memories that would truly last them a lifetime.
