You Won't Believe How Many Crazy Guinness World Records This 59-Year-Old Man Holds
This man has more determination and motivation in one cell than we have in our entire bodies put together.
This is 59-year-old Ashrita Furman, he is the man with the world record for breaking the most Guinness World Records
Ashrita has been breaking records since 1979 and has set 484 official Guiness World Records
It was Ashrita's childhood dream to become a Guiness record holder
As a kid I had a huge fascination with the exotic places and people listed in the Guinness Book of Records, but being a non-athlete, I never imagined ever actually getting a world record myself. Years later, as a teenager, I became interested in Eastern spirituality and began studying meditation with Sri Chinmoy. Suddenly, I was filled with an inner joy and a seemingly inexhaustible energy.
ashrita.comUnder my teacher’s guidance, I eventually learned how to incorporate my newfound energy into my spiritual life while pursuing athletic goals, and I realized that it was time to fulfill my childhood dream of becoming a Guinness recordholder. In 1979 I set my first record by doing 27,000 jumping jacks, and it was such a thrill that I
immediately began training for the next record and I haven’t stopped since!
Ashrita achieved his first record when he was 24 by completing the most number of jumping jacks (27,000)
He admits himself that some of his records are "stupid", but that doesn't stop him from achieving his goals
His latest record (no.484) was achieved in Nov 2013 for "Hard Boiled Egg Catching in Mouth, most in one minute"
Weird and quicky he may be, that doesn't stop us from admiring Ashrita's amazing awesomeness
