Travelling to Pandora may be wishful thinking, but have you ever heard of Malaysia's very own enchanting garden filled with thousands of fluttering butterflies?
Step into Entopia, one of Malaysia's largest butterfly sanctuaries located in Penang, with over 15,000 free-flying butterflies
The Penang Butterfly Farm was originally founded by self-taught entomologist David Goh in 1986 before it underwent a massive transformation.
It was later reopened to the public in 2016 by his son, Joseph Goh.
Although its main attraction are the butterflies, Entopia is also filled with other insects and reptiles, like scorpions, iguanas, and stick insects
There are educational sections for both kids and adults where you can watch how caterpillars turn into butterflies and other fun activities.
You can even adopt your own pupa and bring it home!
Entopia is located at Teluk Bahang, Penang. Entrance fees are as follows:
Malaysians
Adult: RM49
Children (4 to 12 years old): RM29
Children (below 3 years old): Free
Non-Malaysians
Adult: RM69
Children (4 to 12 years old): RM49
Children (below 3 years old): Free
