A cafe in Georgetown, Penang has taken a spin on cheesecake by mixing it with century eggs and ikan bilis

Moody Cow Cafe has been known for taking risks in combining Malaysian flavours with western recipes

The cafe has around 20 different cheesecakes, some of which includes:

- Salty Egg Yolk Cheese Cake with Chicken Floss,
- Musang King Durian Cheesecake, and
- its bestseller, Cempedak Cheesecake.

The cafe even tried combining salted egg yoke with century eggs...

... which to be honest, we wouldn't mind trying. :p

One of its strangest concoctions yet (to us at least) is its Century Egg Cheesecake that is said have a distinct taste to it despite the usual egg odour

According to a review by Rebecca Saw, the texture of the rich, creamy cheese combined with the gelatinous century egg and crunchiness of the anchovies or ikan bilis are definitely an acquired taste.

The unusual cake is on the pricier side, as each slice costs RM44.

The cafe also told SAYS that the cake is subject to availability, as they do not make it everyday.

Meanwhile, its other cakes range between RM20 and RM25 per slice, which isn't all too bad considering that the sizes are quite large and can be shared between 3 - 4 people.
