1. Compared to our other organs, breasts are late bloomers.
Our breasts are the last organ in our bodies to develop. Unlike, say, the brain or liver, whose architecture is set at birth, breasts don't really come into their own until well after birth.

Humans are the only mammals to have breasts that develop in puberty and then remain permanently enlarged. Other female primates have them when necessary.

Because they were stretched as you developed, breasts have thinner skin than the rest of your body, leaving them susceptible to dryness.

About two million women in the United States have breast implants, with 250,000 going under the knife each year. The average age of a woman who gets implants is 34, and 90 percent do it after they have had kids.

Any diagnosis of breast cancer can cause fear and panic, but if you've been diagnosed with stage 1, take heart! Early stage breast cancer can be successfully treated and beaten into remission. Survival rates after treatment for stage 1 breast cancer are very high.
