In 2020, the Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC) announced that they are partnering with online learning platform Coursera to upskill the Malaysian workforce

The goal of the Let's Learn Digital campaign is to prepare Malaysians to work in an economy that has grown to be digitally dependent.

Unemployed workers in Malaysia will be able to access over 3,800 courses on Coursera for free until 31 December 2020.

The usual cost of subscription to Coursera is USD399 (RM1,705) per year. Under the campaign, unemployed Malaysians can access most of Coursera's content, many of them taught by Ivy League schools, at completely no cost.

Better yet, certificates are also included and can be easily added to your LinkedIn page.

However, if you do not fall into the category, fret not. As part of their COVID-19 Recovery Response Initiative, Coursera is also offering a selection of courses for free to everyone until 31 July 2020.

The free courses span many topics including health and mental well-being, business and marketing, computer science, and also personal development.
