In recent years, the beauty industry has made strides towards inclusivity, recognising the importance of representing and empowering people from all backgrounds, races, genders, and abilities

This joint initiative aims to further accelerate this positive change by providing a platform for everyday Malaysians who are ready to challenge traditional, and outdated, beauty standards.

The nationwide search will run from now until 10 June.

Participants will have the opportunity to showcase their unique perspectives on beauty, share their personal stories, express their vision for a more inclusive industry, and be part of the movement.

What's even more exciting is that the selected inclusive ambassadors will also get a chance to be on a billboard in Kuala Lumpur!

Apart from that, they will also be featured on SAYS, Seismik, JUICE, and Mashable Southeast Asia through interviews, photos, videos, and more.

Leading the campaign is our very own in-house influencer, SAYS Video Lead, and inclusive beauty advocate, Nandini Balakrishnan

"Inclusive beauty is the antithesis of archaic beauty standards that continue to harm and confine people to society-approved boxes," shares Nandini.

Laila Zain, the Head of the English Network at REV Media Group also shared her excitement for the 'Inclusive Beauty' campaign

"We are excited to create a space where people can come together to celebrate and appreciate beauty in every individual.

"We're not talking about 'inner beauty'. We're saying, loud and proud, we are all beautiful, and deserve to be beautiful, because of our skin tones, body type, haircut, style choice, and so forth.

"Beauty is not a box that we need to conform to. Beauty is for everybody," added Laila.

The team from JUICE and Mashable SEA also chimed in, having high hopes that this campaign will help change the way we perceive beauty in Southeast Asia

The JUICE Team Lead, Ben Liew said, "We believe in inclusiveness and representation for all. Our collaboration is about recognising the lesser-known aspects that make us special.

"Being who you are rather than conforming to beauty standards is what ultimately makes a person cool."

Sukbhir Cheema, Mashable Southeast Asia's Lead Content Specialist, shared, "Through our collaboration with SAYS, JUICE, and Seismik, we're aiming to redefine people's perspective on beauty, specifically in Southeast Asia.

"Every person is beautiful in their own way and this in itself is a reason to celebrate."
