With all the travel restrictions in place, I've been suffering from a severe case of wanderlust

So, imagine my joy when I stumbled on this little slice of heaven in Petaling Jaya that looks just like Bali!

Khareyana Spa, a tropical sanctuary that's perfect for the ultimate relaxation sesh, is located in Jalan Selangor, away from the busy streets of KL

Speaking to the owners of the place, the inspiration behind the spa's decor stems from their love of greenery and, of course, Bali.

As the owners didn't want to stray too far away from the Balinese concept, they tried to incorporate those elements into the design of the place.

What's nice is that they use 100% organic olive oil for their massages and treatments

It's great for those who enjoy nourishing their skin with the goodness of olive oil.

The creambath is a popular treatment here as well. While most would think that a creambath is for the body, it's actually a nourishing masque for the hair, along with a scalp massage and steaming.

In Indonesia, creambath treatments are offered in most beauty salons as it helps repair and softens hair texture :D

As for SOPs, I was sanitised from head-to-toe immediately upon entering

Khareyana Spa's slot system also ensures that only a limited number of people can frequent the place at one time.

Additionally, the masseurs wear masks and gloves throughout the duration of the treatments, so you won't have to worry about having any skin-to-skin contact.

I got the chance to experience The Tenang Couple package with my friend, and I'd say it was pretty good

The package includes a bespoke herbal foot spa, Balinese massage, and a facial massage as well. For RM360 per couple, the price is not bad at all, in my opinion.

The interior of the massage room felt very intimate and cosy, with some nice relaxing music humming in the background

You can let the masseurs know the amount of pressure you prefer beforehand.

I opted for "light pressure", which is usually just right for me as I'm pretty ticklish.

While I didn't experience any discomfort, there were some parts of the massage that were lacking that extra oomph, if ya know what I mean. But, it's great for those who prefer a more gentle rub-down.

Maybe it would have been better if I had gone for the "hard pressure" massage instead, hehe.

The massage was really thorough; however, if you're uncomfortable with being massaged in the chest area (for women) you can always let the masseur know :D

The session lasted for one and a half hours, and I walked out of the room feeling moisturised and rejuvenated.

While the place was gorgeous, there are a few things that you have to note if you plan on going there

It's always best to arrive on time so you can enjoy the full treatment without feeling rushed.

Also, because the place is surrounded by foliage, including a pond, you may encounter a few mosquitoes as you make your way to your massage room or if you're sitting in the lounge area.

All in all, I had a good experience at Khareyana Spa <3
