Longchamp Has A New Bauhaus-Inspired Monogram Collection Complete With Trendy Fanny Packs
Moving forward with new energy while retaining their roots.
Longchamp has long been a mainstay in the world of fashion accessories
It's hard to forget their iconic nylon tote bags, which can conveniently be rolled up and stowed away when not in use. Even in their stowed position, they look like tiny little Le Pliage tote bags.
Recently debuted at the Longchamp show at New York Fashion Week (NYFW), the new Longchamp LGP monogram is a symbol of new beginnings for the French luxury accessories brand, as it aims to target the burgeoning youth demographic of its ever-expanding line of accessories.
The new monogram was inspired by artists of the Bauhaus movement, while retaining contemporary urban chic through block lettering reminiscent of New York City's grid system
1. The iconic Le Pliage LGP and Le Pliage Cuir (leather) LGP stand out more than ever before
The new Longchamp LGP monogram has been pressed against a black base, with matching black handles, leather closure, and sling. All seems pretty good so far, right? With a little help from neon accents, the entire look is completed and you have the Longchamp LGP Monogram collection!
In the photo above, the classic Le Pliage tote bag has been given a complete makeover, straying away from typical solid colour-blocking and heading into what's considered uncharted territory for Longchamp. The neon pull tab adds a little bit of extra flair to the entire look of the bag, further emphasising on the playful manner of the design.
2. Its apparel line is something that intentionally catches the eyes of people around you
What better way to complete an eye-catching bag than equally eye-catching apparel? The Longchamp LGP monogram is adorned across the entire jacket as seen above, along with the temples of the sunglasses.
Though each piece in the collection can be styled as a standalone ensemble, when combined, the overall look can be very striking and edgy, in the best possible way.

3. Their new travel bags won't be hard to spot in a sea of grey bags at the airport
The iconic Le Pliage Cuir LGP comes in many different variants, including travel bags. Yes, you can choose to carry a drab, plain grey luggage bag, or you could opt for something more vibrant and charming like the one pictured above.
Of course, with bigger travel bags come smaller hand-carry bags we bring with us to store our most important valuables, such as cash, our passport, mobile phone, and a wide variety of personal possessions.
The two bags pictured above also retain the signature neon accent in the leather pull tabs attached to both bags.
What used to be reserved for old uncles and aunties is pretty in-trend now. Fanny packs have become a staple in the everyday trendsetter's arsenal of threads. With the forward-moving design principle of the Longchamp LGP monogram, you can step your fanny pack game up with something that just screams both fun and luxury at the same time.
If fanny packs aren't really your jam, it's okay. That sleek backpack will do just as well.
Whether for casual day wear, active chic, of a glam night out, Longchamp's stunning new collection fits every occasion
