13+ Road Rules Malaysians Never Knew Existed
In case you've forgotten the road rules and ethics from our 'Undang' exam, here are the basics again, for every Malaysian driver to apply behind the wheel. (CLICK ON THE IMAGES FOR FULL VIEW).
1. Speed limits are there for us to follow because our highways are actually not F1 race tracks.
2. New HID headlight bulbs? Cool. It's so blindingly bright I can't even read this, what more drive.
The Road Transport Department (JPJ) has announced that it is illegal to install HID lights on vehicles without prior approval from the department. Even luxury car importers must get approval from JPJ if their cars have HID installed straight from the factory.

6. Also, parking lots are designed with enough of space for humans to enter and exit the car. Our cars don't need to kiss.
8. Dear cars, motorcyclists have feelings and needs too. Please give them a chance.
9. There is NO RULE WHATSOEVER that states you have to slow down to look at an accident.
10. Use your signal lights. No one can read your mind. It'd be nice if you can warn me before making an abrupt left turn and nearly hitting my car, thank you.
12. When you see RED, stop and wait with patience. Also applies to motorbikes, bicycles and wheelbarrows (see below).
15. If you're a motorcyclist, ride in the same direction as the traffic on the road.
