Starbucks Just Opened At Jewel Changi Airport And It Looks Like A Modern Art Museum
It's also the largest outlet in Singapore!
The only thing better than having a cup of good coffee, is enjoying it in a calm environment - which is exactly what this new Starbucks Reserve outlet in Singapore aims to do
Starbucks Reserve at Jewel Changi Airport is an ode to a coffee bean's journey into becoming a cuppa
The storefront's layered woodwork is inspired by the rolling hills of coffee farms, while its counters have honeycomb patterns etched into them.
Besides the typical dining area, which sets a chill mood with its natural browns and hints of greenery...
... the two-storey flagship store boasts an 'Art Room'!
Located on the second floor, the 'Art Room' showcases a special collection of original art pieces typically found within Starbucks stores across Asia.
In fact, art and design is a prominent feature of the store. Take this gorgeous chiselled mural for example!
The Starbucks Siren mural was specially commissioned from architectural illustrator Sean Dunston for this particular outlet.
Over the course of two months, the artist painstakingly hand-chiselled the mural, which stretches across the staircase linking the two levels of the store.
Jaws will definitely drop at the sight of it! Check out this behind-the-scenes video by the artist:
This other insta-worthy aspect of the store incorporates colourful tiles inspired by the local Peranakan community
Interspaced between the tiles are Starbucks Reserve coffee cards to spell out "Singapore".
