This Tiny PJ Store Can Refill Your Detergent, Soap, And Cleaners From RM2.60 Per KG
Save earth, save money.
I admit that as long as there's constant production, it is sometimes difficult and inconvenient to avoid plastic completely
From household products to skincare items, plastic is used to contain almost everything we have today and can take years to dispose of - if at all.
On top of that, a lot of the costs you pay for these products are often a result of the packaging itself.
To help this problem, a zero waste store in Damansara Kim, Petaling Jaya offers a brilliant solution
Formerly known as BYOB, which stands for Bring Your Own Bottle, KitaRefill is a tiny shop that sells everything you need for your home and personal hygiene by refilling used plastic bottles and containers.
All you need is to bring any old detergent bottles or containers that can hold a minimum of one kg and they will fill it up with what you request for
KitaRefill sells laundry detergents, fabric softener, floor cleaners, kitchen degreasers, car wash products, and other household cleaning agents by the kilogram.
Among other things they have are shower gels, hand soaps, pet shampoo, and insect repellents.
Each bottle is refilled according to what you ask and labelled to make it easy to identify
All products are fully biodegradable, which just means that they are kinder to Mother Nature in the long run compared to regular store-bought products.
In addition, the products are formulated without SLS (a skin irritant present in many cleaning solutions) and parabens (a preservative used in many products today).
Prices are very affordable and start from as low as RM2.60 per kg
They also have certified plant-based products imported from Australia - which are slightly more expensive than the others.
You can select from two fragrances to be added into the products, which I highly recommend especially for detergent.
I bought five litres of laundry detergent plus fragrance and it came up to roughly cheaper than buying a new bottle at a supermarket.
You can pay for items either with cash or via GrabPay
Save the earth while collecting points - double win. :p
