5 Practical, Mouthwatering Ice-Cream Tips By A Malaysian MasterChef
These ice-cream hacks by Malaysian Celebrity MasterChef Dato' Fazley will make you scream!
1. Putting a scoop of ice-cream into a cup of coffee turns it into an 'affogato'. The affogato is becoming a staple in many local cafes.
2. Fried ice-cream only works if you make the ice-cream balls beforehand and put them back into the freezer. If you scoop them, batter it and fry it, it will be a melted mess!
3. Like in shops, dip your scoop or spoon into water between every scoop of ice-cream so it slides right off onto the cone or into the bowl
4. Line cling-wrap or parchment paper in an ice-cream tub so the ice crystals formed under the container's lid do not affect the ice-cream's taste
5. Serve ice cream in honeydew or rock melon halves - you'll never have to wash dishes again! For an exotic change of flavour, try serving in a coconut or yellow watermelon.
