How would you rate your English from a scale of 1 to 10?

Chances are, most of us grew up learning and speaking English to a certain extent, some more than others. However, are our comprehension skills and language proficiency actually up to par? That's what we wanted to find out!

We challenged four Malaysians to an English trivia challenge, which included reading, listening, and spelling. Here's how they did:

Starting with just the first question, almost all the participants were stumped at the amount of text they had to read

Tammy: "Woah!"

Nasha: "Wow, that's a really long one."

Suresh: "Do they have audio, ah? I want audio."

Gwen: "Eh, can you stop reading out loud?!"

When it came to the listening portion of the challenge, things started to get heated once they encountered a "trick" question

Tammy: "I dunno, it's a trick question! I don't like this."

Nasha: "It's okay lah, whatever lah."

Gwen: "Oh, it is a trick question, because it's like, 'Why did you go see the professor? Because he wanted to ask about the retirement.'"

Then, there was the spelling challenge, which was one of the most entertaining segments, since participants were able to 'steal' a point if someone got the spelling wrong

Producer: "Suresh, your word is 'prestigious'."

Suresh: "Prestigious. P-R-E-S-T-I-G-O-U-S."
