Poop is made out of 75% water, followed by fibers, dead bacteria, fats, salts and protein
The shape, size, smell and shade of your poop can tell if you are healthy, or not
Why is pooping so important!?
"The digestive tract contains more bacterial cells than there are cells in the entire body," said Dr. Jean-Pierre Raufman. "It's very important that our bowels work well to absorb necessary nutrients but also keep out any foods, chemicals and germs that could do us harm."
livescience.comWhy does poop stink so badly!?
Poop stinks as a result of the products of bacterial action. Bacteria produce smelly, sulfur-rich organic compounds such as indole, skatole, and mercaptans, and the inorganic gas hydrogen sulfide. These are the same compounds that give farts their odor.
smellypoop.comThe odor of your stool is highly dependent on a number of factors, including how long it's been sitting in your colon, your diet, medications you may be taking and, in some cases, the presence of infection.
doctoroz.comThe most common cause of smelly stool is bacterial fermentation of the food in your intestines that produces foul-smelling sulfide compounds. Antibiotics can also change the smell of stool and give it a medicinal odor.
doctoroz.comCan I change the smell of it?
Feces will smell worse if you consume foods or liquids with many artificial flavors or chemicals in them. The bad smell of feces will usually be reduced by eating more natural foods that do not contain any artificial flavors or chemicals.
poopreport.comPoop will vary in smell depending on the type of foods and drinks that you consume. Also, the poop of meat eaters usually smells worse than that of vegans.
poopreport.comCan you get sick from eating poop?
Just in case you were wondering, you can get very sick by eating feces because it contains so many types of bacteria and other harmful substances such as parasites. So I wouldn't suggest adding poop to your diet any time soon.
poopreport.comWhat's up with diarrhea?
Diarrhea is the result of stool passing too quickly through the large intestine, where most of the water content is absorbed.
everydayhealth.comThe most common cause of diarrhea is a virus that infects the gut. The infection usually lasts for two days and is sometimes called "intestinal flu" or "stomach flu."
webmd.comIf you have a mild case of diarrhea, you can just let it run its course, or you can treat it with an over-the-counter medicine. Common brand names include Pepto-Bismol, Imodium A-D, and Kaopectate, which are available as liquids or tablets. Follow the instructions on the package.
webmd.comIn addition, you should drink at least six 8-ounce glasses of fluid per day. Choose fruit juice without pulp, broth, or soda (without caffeine). Chicken broth (without the fat), tea with honey, and sports drinks are also good choices. Drink small amounts of fluids frequently.
