1. They give it a human name
Stacey, Brenda, Betsy, Thomas, Paul... They make a name and stick to it like how they would with their pets. Some people may call it obsessive or awkward, but it makes total sense to them. After all, they spend a huge chunk of their lives going on trips with Betsy, don't they?
3. ... and please, "cuci luar sahaja" is NEVER an option!
Ever notice that they're more picky about the upkeep of their car's interior than they are with the tidiness of their bedroom? They also swear by leather seats that make cleaning a breeze.
4. They derive satisfaction from the sound of their car engine starting. There is a special connection, a strong bond between man and machine.
One push of the button and their ears prick up and heart skips a beat. "Ahhh..."
5. They stroke their dashboard when they need the car to cooperate. "There, there..."
7. They suddenly transform into this new personality once they get their hands on the wheel
They may be quiet or timid in real life but just give them the car keys and they're a completely different person! Some channels their inner Michael Schumacher while some wants to be like Jay Chou in Initial D while making sure that tau foo doesn't spill.
8. They really really slow down when they reach a speed bump so they won't "scratch" the bottom of the car...
The last thing they want to hear besides a loud bang is a KREOKKKKK when they drive past a speed bump. They either go really slow or do the "snake-over-the-bump-at-an-angle" technique.
9. They have this ability to hear the tiniest squeak, chirp, and whirring sound unnoticeable to anyone else in the car
When you call their name, they can't hear it. When there's loud music playing, they can't hear it. But once their car gives a little squeak, their ears perk up. They start touching the dashboard, the sides of their doors, they pull over to trace the source of it. It annoys them like cats in water. KILL ALL THE NOISE!
