Situated between Ranau and Kundasang highways in Sabah is a restaurant that refurbished old buses into a unique dining experience

BW Bus Restaurant is a Sabahan-owned eatery made up of several buses, referred to as 'Labuk' buses, from the olden days in Sandakan.

Tables and benches are set up, where the bus seats used to be, that make it look like something out of an '80s retro diner.

If you're on a road trip, the restaurant acts as a quick pit stop for a meal and rest as you travel between Kota Kinabalu and Sandakan, Tawau, or Lahad Datu.

Customers can dine in the air-conditioned buses or sit outdoors and enjoy surrounding greenery with landscape views

On sunny days, you might even catch a stunning view of Mount Kinabalu!

Like boarding a bus, you'll need to purchase a 'bus ticket' for RM5, which can be exchanged for food and drinks.

The restaurant serves coffee, Sabahan-produced craft ginger beverages, and a variety of Western dishes

The menu includes dishes such as chicken chop, seafood tom yam, pastas, burgers, and more.

Don't forget to try their signature coconut ice cream!
