Soufflé pancakes are a lighter, airier version of traditional pancakes, and they're taller too. Like the name indicates, soufflé pancakes are made using a similar technique you would use to make soufflé, where its ‘poofy’ height is achieved by stiffly beating egg whites until it peaks.

The Japanese call the fluffy texture of soufflé pancakes 'fuwa fuwa' and they are often served at wedding receptions in Japan

Sofflé is the newest kid on the block, and is located in Sunway Pyramid. Their soufflé pancakes are served in pairs, and drenched in sweet sauces such as Belgian chocolate, matcha, and even topped with boba.

Hotcake is originally from Johor, and has recently opened an outlet in Klang Valley. They stack up their soufflés and top them with various toppings like red bean, banana, and chocolate.
