Established in Fukuoka, Japan in 1960, the ramen restaurant became so popular that it has opened many branches worldwide

Famous for causing long queues at every location that they have opened, namely Hong Kong, Taipei, and New York, people line up not only to taste their delicious ramen, but also to experience their "focus booths".

According to Ichiban Ramen's own website, their iconic partition booths "allows you privacy and full focus on your bowl of ramen".

They pride themselves in minimal-interaction dining for the ultimate ramen experience.

Paying attention to details, Ichiran Ramen is most well-known for their decadent tonkotsu broth that is customisable to just the way you like it

To further minimise interactions, the store gives you an order sheet to comfortably choose your preference of toppings, soup richness, and even the texture of your noodles.

In its latest pop-up special to Malaysian fans, the ramen chain will be serving their 100% tonkotsu-free ramen, a version of their rich broth that they have spent 20 years developing

As a testimony to their dedication to making a non-pork bone ramen that has the same rich umami and deep flavour, Ichiran boasts a three-storey branch right in Tokyo that specially serves this original tonkotsu-free recipe of theirs that is popular with tourists.

They will also be recreating their famous "focus booths" to enjoy the authentic Ichiran experience! However, you have to be in luck, because they can only seat six people in these booths per session.

For true fans of Ichiran Ramen, they add that they will have Ichiran Ramen Gift Sets in 2 flavours, original tonkotsu and 100% tonkotsu free, along with a few other products available for purchase at the event!
