A young garbage collector recently went viral after posting a TikTok video of himself working hard to provide food for his family

In the 34-second clip, Wan Othman Wan Mohd Nor Hassyim, 20, was first seen carefully loading waste from a trash can into a garbage truck under the scorching sun.

He then explained that he works hard at his job so he can look after his siblings and mother.

"Behind the hard work is a son who is strong enough to take on his father's responsibility to shower his siblings with love as they grow.

"Without my mother, I wouldn't be this strong," he wrote in the TikTok video.

Wan Othman's mother and three of his sisters were also seen happily eating a bucket of KFC fried chicken and ice cream that he bought for them

Speaking with SAYS, Wan Othman said that he has been working with Alam Flora Sdn Bhd as a garbage collector for nearly two years.

The 20-year-old added that he was motivated to care for his family because he is the only son among five siblings.

As of writing, the video has garnered over 1.1 million views and 187,000 likes on TikTok.
