5 Teen Girls Caught Trying To Break Into A Petrol Station With A Handsaw & A Metal Rod
The girls confessed that they were in desperate need for cash.
Five teenage girls were caught red-handed attempting to break into a petrol station in Rantau Panjang, Kedah on Monday, 4 January
Utusan Malaysia reported that the teenagers, aged 15 to 17 years old, were apprehended by the owner of the petrol station after he spotted them on the closed-circuit television (CCTV) of the premises around 2.30am.
The owner, 32-year-old Azzurin Hassan, told the Malay daily that he was surprised to discover three girls trying to break the back door of his store with a handsaw and a metal rod.
Staying nearby, Azzuzin quickly went to the petrol station to stop the girls with the help of his neighbours
"Several neighbours and I went to surround the petrol station and caught two of the teenagers. But one managed to escape with two other friends who were waiting in a car," said the owner.
The two girls, who he found out were from the same town, admitted to him that they all had planned to break into his petrol station store to steal money.
The business owner took them to the local police station where they were forced to call their accomplices to surrender themselves
At the Batu Tikam police station, all five of them confessed that they were in desperate need for cash to pay off a car that they had rented for a few days.
From their conversation, Azzuzin also learnt that they were all no longer in school and were not staying with their own families as they wanted to live independently.
In the end, the petrol owner decided not to take action against them or make a police report. Instead, he allowed them to go with stern advice.
